With over 25 years of experience, Dimuthu Harshalal is a distinguished industrial engineering professional who began his career in 1998 as a Training Work Study Officer. Early in his career, he contributed to industrial transformation by enhancing efficiency, standardizing operations, and implementing lean methodologies, which became the foundation of his expertise in process optimization.
Dimuthu has collaborated with leading apparel manufacturers across Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. His expertise includes textile analysis, garment and product costing, and optimizing industrial engineering processes through innovative systems like GSD. Driven by a passion for redefining best practices, Dimuthu has consistently leveraged digitalization to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. In his most recent role as Group General Manager for the largest M&S supplier in Bangladesh, Dimuthu led an industrial engineering team overseeing four production units equipped with 5,000 sewing machines. Under his leadership, the team achieved an impressive daily output of 25,000 SAH and consistently generated monthly revenues exceeding USD 12 million.
